I was so pleased to come across this website. I have forwarded the information to my grown children to let them know a bit more about their grandfather (my father) whom they never had a chance to meet. We have a picture of him (William Alfred Russell) receiving a DFC from King George V and it\'s good to have some script to include with this memory. Many thanks!

I am searching for any information regarding the crew of Lancaster LL719 EQ-R which was lost on 19/20th. Feb. 1944. The aircraft flew out of Linton-on-Ouse, Yorkshire, England and consisted of five RCAF and two RAF, one of which was my father. I have visited his resting place at the RCAF cemetery at Choloy,France; a very moving experience.
