The Edmonton Era 1971-Present<\/p>\n
The Squadron was re-activated Jan 1, 1971, at CFB Namao, as \u201c408 Tactical Helicopter Squadron\u201d flying CH135 Twin Huey and CH136 Kiowa helicopters. Over the next\u00a040+ years, 408 THS was involved in\u00a0multiple exercises in support of\u00a0No. 1 Canadian Brigade Group (later 1 CMBG). In 1996 408 Squadron was re-equipped with the CH146 Griffon Helicopter<\/p>\n
It also has participated in numerous Operations, Exercises, Overseas Deployments and Peacekeeping Tours.<\/p>\n
