Flight Sergeant (Pilot) Robert Wishart (R/84099) was my mother\'s only brother. He was lost along with the rest of his crew on a bombing mission to Duisburg on the night of July21/22, 1942. Their Hampden (AT139, EQ-A bar) came down in the Waddensea just east of Den Burg on Texel, cause unknown. The other three crew members were: Sergeant Robert Spencer Doherty (R/81079) of Vancouver, British Columbia Flight Sergeant (W.Op./Air Gnr.) John Beverley Pleasence (R/67907) of Chatham, Ontario Pilot Officer (W.Op./Air Gnr.) Thomas Reginald Ashton (104333) RAFVR My uncle and J.B. Pleasence were buried side by side in Harlingen and T.R. Ashton is buried in Bergen-op-Zoom. R.S Doherty was not found and is listed on the Runnymede Memorial. I know little of Doherty and nothing of Ashton. If anyone has any details or photos of these two I would love to know. I\'d also like any information anyone may have on that particular operation to Duisburg.
