Sgt Robert “Scott” Hanna

1962-2019

Scott lost a short but heroic battle with cancer on November 2, 2019. Gone to soon but never forgotten. Predeceased by his mother Arlene Hanna, Scott leaves behind his wife Dawn Parlby, stepchildren Kendall DeVries (Kyle Petrik) and Gabrielle Parlby, his father David Hanna (Doreen Todd), sister Dawn (Mark) Kuzemski, nephew Cole Pethybridge, niece Lara Pethybridge, and favorite Aunt Faye Acton.

Scott devoted most of his life to the Royal Canadian Airforce. He spent 39 years in service to his country as an AVN technician, recruiter and too many other roles to mention. He was deployed to Haiti, Kosovo, Africa and other countries in need throughout his service. His belief was that although he couldn’t change the past, he would try to change the future.

Much love and respect to the 408 Squadron Edmonton and 410 Squadron Cold Lake who held him dear as their brother in arms, friend and associate. The memorial service for Sgt Hanna will be on 10 Dec 19, 1330 – 1600, at the WO’s & Sgt’s Mess in Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Scott’s name to Valour Place, North Edmonton
